In Raynham, October 11, 2012 Harry L. Donahue passed away peacefully at Life Care center in Raynham at the age of 82. Born in Taunton, Harry was the son of the late Harry and Ruth (Fannon) Donahue. He was a school teacher at Somerset High School from 1956-1969 where he taught history. He served as the principal of Somerset South Middle School from 1970-1989 in his later years until his retirement. Harry was known as a strict but fair man who had a love for students. He prided himself in knowing the names of every student at the middle school. Harry graduated from Taunton High School in 1948 and from Stonehill College in 1953. He had a love for baseball and took his sons Paul and David to dozens of Red Sox games each year while they were young. He enjoyed going to Cape Cod League Baseball games during the summer and attended every one of his son’s high school games as well. Harry was known for his seirless nature and his willingness to help others. He believed in the innate goodness of the young men and women he taught and strived to bring out the best in every one of them. Harry was the father of Paul Donahue and his wife Jodi of Fairhaven and David Donahue of Fairhaven. A grandfather of five and brother of the late Ruth (Donahue) Chapel. A celbration will be held at the VFW in Raynham on Mill Street Sunday, November 4th at 1 PM..
