Dartmouth – Maria Cabral, age 92, died Friday, October 12, 2012 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Cabral. Mrs. Cabral was the loving mother of Maria Pereira of Dartmouth and Antonio Cabral of New Jersey. Maria is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.
Mrs. Cabral was the sister of the late Ines (Tavares) doRego.
Mrs. Cabral was the daughter of the late Evangelina (Travassos) and Americo Carreiro. She was born in St. Michael, Açores. Mrs. Cabral was a dressmaker in Ponta Delgado, Portugal.
Mrs. Cabral’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Wednesday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5-7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
