New Bedford- Luis R. DeMelo died June 7, 2004 at St. Lukes Hospital , He was the husband of Jovita P. (Farias) DeMelo. He is survived by 1 Daughter Diane Grota of N. Dartmouth, 4 Grandchildren;Michael DeMelo Jr., Brandyn DeMelo, Nathan Grota, & Lexi Grota., a Sister Lourdes Viveiros of Portugal. & Several Nieces & Nephews.
Mr. DeMelo was a Laborer for Freddy da Roma and Sons Construction Co. He was the son of the late Iria de Jesus and Antonio DeMelo
His funeral will be Thursday June 10, 2004 from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours will be Wednesday June 9, 2004 from 5 – 8 pm. Interment St Johns Cemetery.
