LACONIA:
Eunice S. (Tibbetts) Chapman, 91, of 30 County Drive, Laconia, died peacefully Wednesday evening, October 10, 2012, at the Belknap County Nursing Home, Laconia.
She was born August 20, 1921, in Laconia, the daughter of the late Harry and Albertine (Lambert) Tibbetts. She had attended Sacred Heart School and had been a resident of Alton prior to returning to Laconia.
Previous to her retirement, she was employed by the Gilman Home in Alton, as a supervisor and caregiver.
She was a volunteer with Foster Grandparents and Senior Companions, as well as being an active member of the Lakes Region Vineyard Church, Lakeport.
Eunice was the wife of the late Henry G. Chapman, who died in 1976, and is survived by three sons, Colin Chapman of Franklin, Carl Chapman of Belmont and Conrad Chapman of Northfield; a daughter, Nancy L. VanCamp of Laconia; nine grandchildren; 12 great granchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Maurice Tibbetts, Ralph Tibbetts, Carroll Tibbetts and Warren Tibbetts.
There are no calling hours. Friends and relatives are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 3:00 pm in the Lakes Region Vineyard Church, 175 Mechanic St., Lakeport, with Pastor Dick Aucoin, officiating. Burial will be in Old Riverside Cemetery, Alton.
