WORCESTER___William N. “Bill” Houlihan, of Worcester, who would have turned 77 on Monday June 7 died Friday June 4 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.
He leaves his wife of 48 years, Ann A. (Sangillo) Houlihan; three daughters, Cheryl A. Houlihan of Worcester; Karen M. Blanchard and her husband Mark R. Blanchard of Oakham; and Ann Marie Maros and her husband Joseph S. Maros of Worcester; a granddaughter, Katrina L. Blanchard and nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of John T. and Gladys (Muzzy) Houlihan and lived here all his life.
Mr. Houlihan was a truck driver many years for Yellow Freight Co., and retired in 1994. Before then he was a baker at the former Gannon Bakery in Worcester.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War serving as a Staff Sergreant. Mr. Houlihan was a member of St. Stephen’s Church, the Auburn Sportsmen Club and Teamsters Local 170.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday June 8 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Stephens Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
