In loving memory of Betty Nell Greer Gould, 67, of Charlotte, NC, died Saturday, June 5, 2004, at Carolina Medical Center in Pineville, NC.
Graveside services will be 2 P.M. Wednesday, June 9, 2004, in Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia with Rev. Terry Cole officiating. The family will receive friends at the Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald from 7 to 9 Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Gould was born July 17, 1936, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Thomas Ward Greer and Gladys Peavey Greer. A retired Registered Nurse, she was a 1957 graduate of Georgia Baptist Hospital Nursing School in Atlanta, Georgia. Mrs. Gould nursed at Georgia Baptist Hospital and Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, Georgia. She was an industrial nurse for IBM in Lexington, Kentucky and served with the Red Cross in Japan. She was a 1954 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. Mrs. Gould was a member of Sardis Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC.
Mrs. Gould is survived by her husband of 45 years: David W. Gould, Jr., Charlotte, NC; 2 Sons: Dr. David W. Gould, III, Midlothian, VA and Thomas “Tom” Greer Gould, Maiden, NC; 4 grandchildren: Wil Gould, Ben Gould, Sarah Anne Gould and Katie Gould.
