Obituary

Eleanor F (Morey) Bradshaw, born in Whitman MA, Nov. 20, 1920, married to Edwin R Bradshaw who predeceased her in 1977. She is survived by her children: Sandra (Harold) Hunt, Patricia (Daniel) Mofford, Samuel Bradshaw, Margaret (Charles) Albert, Lester (Sharon) Bradshaw, Gary Bradshaw, Chris Bradshaw, Grace (Samuel) Gugliemini and 31 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles A. and Rena M. (Todd) Morey, her infant daughter, Eleanor Elaine and her sisters Clara Beede, Barbara Hanson, her brother, Ralph Morey, and several granddaughters.
Ele or Ma as she was known by many, who came to their home, graduated from Whitman High School and entered training as a nurse at Morton Hospital School of Nursing. For a time she was an at home mom but often worked alongside her husband in various enterprises, including a residence home for veterans.
Eleanor was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a faithful member in the choir. Music was very important to her, starting at a young age with voice lessons and she taught herself to play the piano. Ele was part of several community choruses throughout her life, including one for the Billy Graham Association. She influenced many children and often would bring them to youth activities. Her favorite sports teams where the Boston Red Sox and the NE Patriots which she cheered or scolded!
Visitation hours will be on Friday, October 12th 4 to 8 p.m. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Her funeral service will be held on Sat. October 13th at 10 a.m. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Calvary Baptist Church, AWANA program, PO Box 510, Hanson, MA 02341.
