Isbin “Pete” Corbitt, 77, of Fitzgerald died Monday, October 8, 2012 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.
Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M., Thursday, October 11, 2012 at New Testament Holiness Church with Sister Charlotte Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Corbitt was born December 3, 1934 in Atkinson County, Georgia to the late Isaac, Sr. and Missouri Henderson Corbitt. He was retired from the Ben Hill County Road Department and was a member of New Testament Holiness Church.
He is survived by two brothers: Ansel E. & Peggy Ann Corbitt and Isaac Corbitt, Jr.; three sisters: Angie Kennedy, Cindy Adamson, and Allison Ballard, all of Newport News, Virginia; and three step-granddaughters: Christina Michelle Rowe of Fitzgerald, Anna Jackson of Tifton, and Becky Black of Tennessee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Lucille Dixon Corbitt.
