Manchester– Mary J. (Lazzar) DiVenuti, 90, died October 7, 2012 at Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born in Candia on April 28, 1922 one of twelve children to John and Mary (Keoza) Lazzar and had been a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Prior to her retirement she had worked in the cafeteria at NH College, now Southern NH University.
She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Arthur S. DiVenuti on January 10, 2002 and her beloved dog “Bessy”.
She loved watching televised golf tournaments and Family Feud.
Family members include 6 children, Timothy DiVenuti and his wife Barbara, John DiVenuti, all of Manchester, Linda Rousseau and her husband, Chet of Alabama, Larry DiVenuti and his wife Tina of Weare, Edward DiVenuti, Beverly Papp and her husband, Lee, all of Manchester, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM in St. Hedwig Church, corner of Beech and Orange Sts.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
