Vera Kathleen (Smith) Moore
August 31, 1915- September 25, 2012
Vera Kathleen (Smith) Moore, 97, Frankton, went to the arms of Jesus on September 25th at Community Northview Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.
Vera was born August 31, 1915 in Poneto, Indiana (Wells County), the daughter of William O. and Maude M. Smith. After graduating from Anderson High School, she married James E. Moore and was a homemaker raising three sons.
Vera was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church.
Vera was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, loved family get-togethers and was a huge Colts fan.
Survivors include sons, James (J.D.), wife Billie, Tim, wife Sherry, and Dan. Also surviving are a host of grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and a step-great-great grandchild due in November.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband James E. Moore, grandsons David Moore and Brian Moore, aunts and uncles, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Thank you to Community Northview Rehabilitation Center, Hoosier Home Healthcare and Daybreak Visiting Nurse Care for their special care. Mother thought of you as angels and part of her extended family and we will be forever grateful for the love and care shown to Mother.
Private Graveside Service was held on Monday, October 1st, at Perkinsville Cemetery with Rev. Tim Bailey officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Madison County Humane Society.
