Dr. Karl K. "BO" Dockery age83,Hillside Dr. Douglas, Ga. passed away at Shady Acres Health and Rehab, on Sunday, October 7, 2012. He was born on December 29, 1928 to the late William L.Dockery, Sr. and Louise Lott Dockery. He is the husband of Mirtie Smith Dockery.
Dr. Dockery is survived by his wife: Mirtie Smith Dockery; FourChildren;Karl K. (Theresa) Dockery, Jr. Albany, Ga.; Martha Lou (Chris) Royer, Douglas, Ga.; Barbara D (Carlos) Young, Augusta, GA.; Walter Dockery, Broxton, Ga.; Brother: Jimmy Dockery, Douglas, Ga.; Three Sisters: Bobbie Eason, Polan, Ga.; Faye Davis and Cheryl Polk both of Douglas, GA. Ten grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by a brother, Williams L. Dockery, Jr.; a sister: Betty Maddox and a grandson: Kramer Royer.
Dr. "BO" to his many friends, was a member of First Baptist Church, Douglas, Ga.; Former member of the Jaycees, Member of American Veterinary Medicine Association, former member of the Coffee County Board of Education and a graduate of the University of Georgia. After graduation he immediately began his practice which lasted a span of 60 years with 58 years serving Douglas, Coffee County and surrounding counties.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 9, 2012, 5 to 8 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Douglas, GA. Rev. Gregory Pope officiating. Interment will folloiw in Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Sims Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
