Joseph F. Dorsey of Marshfield, formerly of South Boston passed away at home after a long illness on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. He was 50 years old.
Born November 3, 1961 in Brighton, Massachusetts. Joe was the son of the late William W. and Mary A. (Burke) Dorsey. He was employed as a laborer for most of his working life.
Joe was a very humorous man known for his many jokes. He enjoyed watching movies, Rolling Stones music, and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
He is survived by his sister Margaret A. "Peggy" Chace of Stoughton, his brother William M. "Billy" Dorsey of South Boston, brother-in-law Raymond "Ray" Casemiro of Stoughton, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and his long time friend and soulmate Joanne Smith and her children, Melanie and Jim, all of Stoughton.
His funeral service will be held on Monday October 8th, 2012 at 12pm, from the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Cremation to follow. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10am-12pm. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of one's choice in Joe's Memory would be appreciated.
