Sandra Lynn (Becht) Cortes, 51, of New Bedford died Friday June 4, 2004 at Bedford Village Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Samuel Cortez.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Conrad and Nettie Becht, she lived in Brooklyn for many years before moving to New Bedford 16 years ago.
Survivors include four daughters, Nettie Ann Becht, Bonnie Lynn Cortes, and Sandra Lynn Cortes, all of New Bedford, and Patricia Ann Becht of New York, NY ; a brother, Robert Becht of Brooklyn; three sisters, Annamay Cummings, Carol Caryk, and Patricia Becht, all of Brooklyn; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late William Becht.
Her Funeral Service will be private.
