George E. Breault, 79, of New Bedford died October 3, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital.
He was the husband of Mildred L. "Millie" (Medeiros) Breault.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Tancrede and Octavie M. (LeBlanc) Breault, he lived in Dartmouth, Lakeville and New Bedford most of his life.
Mr. Breault was the proprietor of Pop's Lunch in Dartmouth. He was a member of several singing groups and enjoyed being the music man at Alden Court for 12 years.
Survivors include his wife; a son, George E. Breault, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Georgia; 2 daughters, Kathleen A. Gauthier and her husband Roland of Dartmouth and Jacqueline M. Nelson-Eckardt and her husband Jason of New Bedford; 7 grandchildren, Roland Gauthier, Jr., Shannon Silva, Nathan Gauthier, Christina Nelson, Sarah Nelson, Taylor Breault and Logan Breault; 3 great-grandchildren, Emma, Korey and Troy; 3 nieces, Eleanor Arruda, Dorothy Dautil and Caroline Robert; and 2 nephews, Leo Breault and Anthony Texeira.
He was the father of the late Ernest George Breault, brother of the late Aldea Texeira, Leo Breault, Theodore "Teddy" Breault and Albert Breault, and uncle of the late Bertha Chapin, Gloria Robert and Mildred Boudreau.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Saturday, October 6th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, Fairhaven at 9 AM. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven. Visiting hours Friday, October 5th from 4-8 PM.
