Frank A. Battista, a longtime Woburn resident formerly of Arlington and Burlington, passed away Wednesday, June 2, at the Shaughnessy - Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital in Salem following a brief illness. He was seventy-one years old.
Born in Boston he was the son of the late Madeline (Fabiano) and Vincent Battista. He was raised in Medford, attended Medford High School and graduated from North Eastern University in 1955. Frank retired from the Genstar Corporation where he worked as the regional credit manager. He was a talented piano player and enjoyed visiting Antique Car Shows with his family.
Frank is survived by his three sons, Richard of New Hampshire, Frank and Vincent of Arlington. Four loving grandchildren Valerie, Marlene, Amanda and Dougie. His former wife Dorothy Battista of Arlington. One sister Betty Rawson of Medford and his friend Catherine Donovan of Woburn.
A funeral service will be held in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn on Monday, June 7, at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
Visiting Hours at the funeral home will be on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon.
