Mildred E. Lacasse, 99, formerly of 36 Beaman St. died October 22, 2001 at the Belknap County Nursing Home. She was born in Laconia on June 5, 1902, the daughter of Cleophas and Olivine (Morin) Fecteau and lived all of her life in Laconia.
Prior to her retirement, she was the proprietor of Bernard’s Millinery Shop on Main St. in downtown Laconia. She was the widow of Eugene E. Lacasse, who died in 1963.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart parish, and was a member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart since 1949. Mrs. Lacasse was very active in the Canado’s of Sacred Heart Church and was a Past President of the organization. She was an avid Bingo player all of her life.
Family members include a sister and brother-in-law, Irene B. Ricard and Emile A. Ricard of Laconia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. on Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave. Thursday at 10 AM. Rev. Adrien Longchamps will officiate. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. David L.
