Manchester– Rachel D. Melanson, 83, died September 27, 2012 at the Elliot Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on July 13, 1929 the daughter of Wilfred and Blanche (Laroche) Melanson. She had been a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Prior to her retirement she had worked for local shoe manufacturers, and for Frostyland bakery.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Richard, Roland, Robert & Maurice Melanson.
Family members include her cousin Henry Provencher and his fiancee, Nancy Bunker of Hooksett,nieces, nephew and other extended family.
There are no calling hours.
A committal service will take place on Thursday at 12:30 PM in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
