Mr. Ernest Joseph Cote, of Attleboro, peacefully passed to be with the Lord Friday, September 28, in the Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton. He was the beloved husband of Maria Dolores (Camara) Cote. He was born 92 years ago in Fall River, the son of the late Arthur G. and Anna (Bolduc) Cote. He was educated in Fall River schools and had been an Attleboro resident for the past 42 years. Mr. Cote was a Master Barber for many years. He retired from the Foxboro Company. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was an active member of both the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Parish in Attleboro.
In addition to his wife, he leaves: three sons: Arthur F. Cote and his wife, Lisa M. of Attleboro, Ernest A. Cote and John F. Cote, both of Attleboro; three daughters: Anne Marie Y. Camara and her husband, Joseph D. of Taunton, Bernadette M. Camara and her husband, Joaquim of Norton, and Marguerite M. Cote and her fiance, Anthony J. Castro of Attleboro; four grandchildren: Brenden J. Argueta, Joshua R. Argueta, Nathan T. Argueta and Krystal Anne Argueta, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Hilda Cote, George Cote, Raymond Cote, Yvette Gilman, Albert Cote, Rita Larsen and Irene Tache.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Tuesday, October 2 at 8:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Church, School Street, Taunton, at 9:00 A.M. Fr. Riley J. Williams will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
