Roy C. Morrison, age 65, of Brockton, died September 27, 2012 following a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Lenir (Martins) Morrison. Born in Taunton and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Charles and Grace (Marvel) Morrison. Roy was a 1966 graduate of Brockton High School and served during Vietnam with the Navy aboard the USS Hancock. In October, 2011, he retired as the Director of Custodial Services and Special Events at Stonehill College after 32 years. He enjoyed travel, especially his three trips to Brazil to visit family, golf, fishing and basketball. Roy was known for his unique sense of humor and having a big heart who loved time with his family and children. He was also a longtime member of Club National.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Scott Morrison of Carver, Lisa Morrison of Easton and Teresa Litwinczuk of Brockton; a brother Allen Morrison and his longtime companion Barbara Blandin of Brockton, three sisters Judy Murray and her husband David of East Bridgewater, Mary Pentz and her husband Paul of Brockton, Laura Morrison and her longtime companion Richard Andrews of Lakeville; a sister in law Marlene Morrison of Brockton, many nieces and nephews, and his dog Sasha. He was the brother of the late Paul Morrison.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will gather on Wednesday at 8am for a funeral mass at 9am in Christ The King Parish. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
