
Anne Teresa (Clear) Mulligan 89, of Chester NY, died Thursday September 27, 2012 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown NY.
She was the beloved wife of the late William Mulligan Jr. who died January 28, 2008 with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.
Born in Manchester NH, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Hazel (O’Brien) Clear. Anne graduated from St. Raphael’s High School in Manchester, NH. After marrying Bill, she spent the next fifty-six years on the West Coast, raising her three children, volunteering as a teacher assistant at Blessed Sacrament School in Seattle, Washington, and volunteering as an assistant for the parish priests. Anne was a strong, independent woman who supported her husband and raised her children through WWII and the Korean War while her husband served in the Navy.
During their retirement, she and her husband spent time traveling in United States, including Alaska and Hawaii and in Canada. Anne and Bill returned home to the East Coast in 2000 and spent their final years with their daughter, Sharon and her family in Chester, NY. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three children Sharon DiGeronimo and her husband Michael of Chester NY, William Mulligan and his wife Sam of Lewiston Idaho, John Patrick Mulligan of Kamiah Idaho, her grandchildren Brett Mulligan and his wife Nicole of Lewiston, Connan Mulligan and his wife Anna of Clarkston Idaho, Michael John DiGeronimo of Chester NY, Mara Mulligan of Chandler AZ, Danille DiGeronimo of Glastonbury CT, Michelle Keeshan and her husband Billy of Hopewell Junction, NY, her great-grand children, Hunter, Will, Rocco, Alvin, Vivian Danielle, Caleb, Alora and Gabriella.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, October 2, at 8:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Linus Church 119 Hartford Street, Natick at 9:00 A.M.
Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne Tuesday at 1:15 P.M.
Visiting hours are Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
