TEWKSBURY - Kenneth Matthew Soul, 76, a retired hospital worker, died Wednesday, Feb. 27,at the Life Care Center in Billerica.
He was born in South Boston, September 13, 1925, a son of the late Joseph and Christine(McIntosh) Soul. He lived the greater part of his life in Quincy, and retired to Tewksbury in the1980's.
He worked as a houseman at Quincy City Hospital, and in earlier years, University Hospital andMass Memorial Hospital in Boston.
He had served as vice president of the Cerebral Palsy Association of Boston, and was a memberof the Quincy Indoor Sports Association.
He is survived by a sister Josephine Porter of Antrim, NH, several nieces and nephews Christineand her husband David Godfrey of Raymond, Maine, Charles Soul Jr. of Hanson, Alfred Russellof Reading, John Russell of Salem, NH, Peter Mazzone of Melrose, Sandra Fitzgerald ofWakefield, Susan Atkins of Antrim, NH, and Madeline Litz of Thomsaton, ME. He was also brother of the late Sue Garfield, Sally Russell, Mae Mazzone, Charles, Edwin andJoseph Soul Jr.
A gravesidecommittal service was held Friday at Mar. 1, in the Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. AMemorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 26, at 11 a.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351Main St. (Rte 38) Tewksbury. Visiting hours are omitted.
