Framingham: Henry B. “Harry” Davison, Jr., age 81, died peacefully on Tuesday morning, September 25, 2012, at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. He was the devoted husband of Norma (Henderson) Davison, with whom he just celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on September 8th.
Born, raised and educated in Long Branch, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Henry and Grace (Wolcott) Davison. Harry continued his education earning a Bachelor of Arts from the Providence Bible Institute in Barrington, Rhode Island. It was there that he met and courted his future bride.
Harry and Norma lived for several years in Peoria, Illinois, prior to settling in Framingham in 1965. He was employed for 36 years with the Ty-Wood Corporation of Holliston as a sheet metal fabricator. Deeply dedicated to their faith, the Davison’s were charter members of the South Middlesex Baptist Church in Framingham. Harry had sung with the choir since its inception and is remembered fondly for his solo performances of favorite hymns. He was happiest at home in the company of his family.
He is survived by Norma and their sons, John Edward Davison of Hopkinton, and Philip T. Davison and his wife Robyn of Southbridge; and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Andrew, both of Southbridge. He was the brother of the late Lois Miller and Emma Weekly.
His funeral service will be held at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Natick, on Monday, October 1st at 11:00a.m. Pastor Brian Horst of South Middlesex Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Hopkinton.
