Salvatore F. Magistro passed away on September 24, 2012. He was 86 years old.
Born in New York City, Salvatore was a longtime resident of Dorchester, Medford, and Malden where he had lived for the past 2 years. He worked for the United States Postal Service at the South Boston Postal Anex for many years and the City of Malden Traffic Department for over 20 years. Salvatore was a United States Army Veteran having served in World War II and was a past member of the Malden Moose.
Salvatore was the devoted husband of the late Virginia (Piccarello) Magistro and the beloved father of Camille Consalvi and her husband Robert of Everett and Paul Magistro and his wife Ada of Malden. He was stepfather of Richard, Joseph and Stephen Pecorella and the dear brother of Fred Magistro and his wife Lillian, Irene Giglio and the late Josephine Giacobbe and Frank Magistro. Salvatore was the brother in-law of Anna Magistro and the cherished grandfather of Aaron James Consalvi and his wife Tiffany. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, September 28th at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday, 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Salvatore’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
