Donald Collins, of Stoneham, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday September 23, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 68 years old.
Born in Boston, Donald was the loving son of the late Francis E. and Mary E. (Lamb) Collins. Donald was the a loving son, brother, husband, father and grand father. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Donald was an employee of Stoneham Savings Bank for over 16 years. He was the treasurer of the Home Owners Options for Mass Elder for many years.
Donald was the beloved husband of Karen Groz of Stoneham. He was the devoted father of Lisa Stamp and her husband Barry of FL, Krista Parfumorse and her husband Barry of Hanover. Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Rosina, and Megan Bucchianeri, Jennifer and Amanda Stamp. He was the Dear brother of Francis Collins Jr. and his wife Gail of Northampton, William Collins and his wife Karen of Pennsylvania and the late Joan Cole and her surviving husband Thomas of Weymouth. Donald is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
