WORCESTER___Mary E. (Tabor) Sage, 92, of Ogden Terrace passed away peacefully Monday May 31 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center. Her husband of 62 years, George J. Sage, Sr., died April 1, 2002.
She leaves her daughter and caregiver, Patricia A. Bousquet of Worcester; a sister, Helen Brady of Jacksonville, N.C., six grandchildren, AnnMarie Gigliotti who was also her caregiver, John J. Healy III, Richard P. Healy and James J. Healy all of Worcester; and Kelly A. Sage and Lynn M. Sage both of Hampton, N.H., twelve great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. A son, George J. Sage, Jr., of Worcester died in 1996. A daughter, Mary Jane Mancuso of Worcester died in March. Two brothers, Walter Tabor and Joseph Tabor and a sister, Edna Dube also died before her. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, daughter of Walter and Patricia (Kapulka) Tabor and later lived in Hyde Park before coming to Worcester many years ago.
Mrs. Sage worked in the housekeeping dept. of St. Vincent Hospital for 17 years and retired in 1976. She was a member of St. Christopher’s Church. Mary was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed reading and knitting.
The funeral will be held on Friday June 4 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Christopher’s Church, 950 West Boylston St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday June 3 from 5 to 8 p.m.
