
James A. Porter, 56, of Worcester died Tuesday, September 18th at home. He leaves his sister, Sharon A. P. Schedin and her husband, Mark of Worcester; a niece, Jennifer E. Perchak of Worcester; two grand nephews, Daniel Horner and Layne Perchak; two grand nieces, Isabella and Lillian Perchak; his neighbors and close friends, Al Sawtell and Nicholas Benson.
He was born in Worcester the son of Arthur F. Porter, Jr. and Barbara A. (Cronin) Porter and graduated from St. John’s High School. Mr. Porter was a security guard at State Mutual and then Allmerica before retiring. James had a great love and fondness for Jazz music. He was his father’s caregiver for the past three years until he passed away in June.
His funeral is Saturday, September 29th with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary, 25 Fales Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
