Obituary

Robert F. Clements, 75, of Danville, NH, formerly of Derry, died Monday September 17, 2012 at his residence after a period of declining health. Mr. Clements was born October 25, 1936 in Niagara Falls, NY and was a son of the late Maurice and Doris (McBride) Clements. He was raised and educated in the Niagara Falls area. Mr. Clements had been a resident of Derry from 1964 to 1998, and has resided in Danville for the past 14 years.
Mr. Clements served his country as a member of the US Army from 1956 to 1959. He was employed as a Senior Systems Analyst with IBM Corp., for over 31 years, completing his career in the Waltham, MA. customer center. After retirement, he did volunteer work for Health Insurance Counseling, and was the long time coordinator for the Greater Derry Diabetes Group. He was a long time member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church of Derry and was a member of numerous church committees.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara J. (Holtz) Clements of Danville, three sons, Bryan and his wife Cheryl of Belmont, NH, Bruce of Chester, NH and Brad and his wife Marsha, of Potsdam, NY, 10 grandchildren, his sister Sandra Ishman, and her husband Mike of Lewiston, NY, his brother, Ronald and his wife Frances of Niagara Falls, NY, a brother-in-law, Richard Holtz of Gallatin, TN and many nieces and nephews.
After cremation, a memorial visitation will be held Friday September 28, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm at the Peabody Funeral homes and crematorium, 15 Birch Street Derry, NH. A funeral service will be celebrated Saturday September 29 at 11 am at St. Luke’s Church in Derry. A private burial is planned for the NH State Veterans Cemetery at the later date.
