Grace L. Bourque 85, of Mendon Rd. died Monday at The Holiday. She was the wife of George D. Bourque with whom she had been married for sixty three years. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Phillippe and Rose Anna (Deziel) Dubois. Grace worked for the Woonsocket Junior High School Lunch Program for twenty two years before retiring in 1986. She also worked for the former Narragansett Knitting for twelve years. Grace was a member of the Senior Citizens Center and Precious Blood Seniors.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sisters, Jeannette Pouliot of N. Smithfield, and Violet Champagne of Woonsocket, two granddaughters, Stacey Pettella of North Kingstown and Kelly Morris of Lincoln, and a great-grandson Nicholas. She was also the mother of the late Elaine Bourque Vanasse and Cynthia Bourque and sister of the late Lucille Dubois, Therese Parenteau, and Rachel Deslauriers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday September 22nd at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Church Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. The family will receive guests at church beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
