WORCESTER – Mr. Joseph Louis D’Ambra, 83, passed away Friday September 14th surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Beverly (Kinnear) D’Ambra of Worcester, three sons, Michael D’Ambra of West Boylston, Joseph D’Ambra and his wife Ann of Worcester, Richard D’Ambra and his wife Ann-Maria of Sutton, three sisters, Mary Perra, Rose Butler and her husband Robert, Rita Collins and her husband Stuart, two brothers, Alfred D’Ambra and his wife Joyce, Paul D’Ambra and his wife Carmella; a daughter in law, Beth D’Ambra; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Joseph was pre-deceased by his son, Stephen D’Ambra.
A lifelong resident of Worcester, Joe was born December 19, 1928 a son of the late Joseph and Lucy (Novia) D’Ambra.
He served his country in the Army during World War II. Upon his return, Joe worked in the clothing industry as a cutter for Trippi’s Clothing, Supreme Coat and Stanley Sportswear.
Joe was a parishoner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel – St. Ann Church and a former member of the Eastside Improvement Club.
His greatest joy was being with his family.
His funeral will be held Thursday September 20th from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St. Worcester with a Funeral Mass at 11:30a.m. at Our Lady of Mt Carmel- St Ann Church in Worcester.
