WEBSTER – Edward J. “Joe” Bembenek, Jr., 69, of Webster, died Thursday, September 13, 2012 after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Barbara A. (Placzek) Bembenek; a daughter, Debra Ann Thomas of Webster; twin grandchildren, Anthony Scott Thomas and Sophia Ann Thomas; a brother, Robert Bembenek of Webster; 3 sisters, Joanne Brezniak of Blackstone Valley, Linda Klys of Webster and Jeanne Loos of Columbus, OH; his special cousins, Ronald, Agnes and Chad Coporale; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Thomas Bembenek of Florida and John Bembenek of Webster.
He was born and raised in St. Albans, West Virginia, the oldest of the 7 children of Edward J. Bembenek, Sr. and Eileen (DeVore) Bembenek.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Bembenek was a supervisor at Sanitary Dash Company in Putnam, CT for 35 years. He then worked at Central Supply in Worcester for 5 years, retiring in 2007. He loved fishing and hunting.
A funeral service was held privately. Arrangements were under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street.
