Alice Lutrelle Davis, 86, of Fitzgerald died Friday, September 14, 2012, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM, Sunday, September 16, at Arbor Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Arbor Baptist Church on Sunday from 2:30 until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Davis was born May 30, 1926 in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Elzy Belote and Annie Barfield Paulk. She was a homemaker and had lived in the community most of her life. Mrs. Davis was a member of Arbor Baptist Church, where she was active in the Young-at-Heart Ministry and a member of the Sanctuary Sunday school class. She also enjoyed participating in activities at the Senior Citizens Center and was an avid flower gardener.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Elizabeth & Jimmy Ellison of Tifton; son and daughter-in-law: Wendell & Jackie Davis of Fitzgerald; daughter and son-in-law: Debbie & Jeffrey Sandiford of Ocilla; six grandchildren: Burt Morrow, Christy & Nelson Kunes, Al Davis, Melody & Chris Mann, Jessica Sandiford, and Alan Sandiford; five great-grandchildren: Joel Christopher Mann, Jacklyn Grace Mann, Elan Aldine Davis, Davis Taylor Kunes, and Mitchell Brett Kunes; a sister: Ann Paulk Benton of Douglas and a brother: Gabe Paulk of Gulfport, Mississippi. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Elijah Aldine Davis; brothers: Aubrey Paulk, Oswald Paulk, E.B. Paulk, Jr., and Dewey Paulk, and sisters: Cleo Anderson, Corrine Paulk, and Wealthy Paulk.
