Alice M. (Daigneault) Pearson 85, of Hemond Ave, died Wednesday in the Friendly Home. She was the wife of Rene Pearson with whom she celebrated their sixty first wedding anniversary in June of this year. Mrs. Pearson was a self-employed hairdresser and the owner and operator of Alyce’s Beauty Salon in Woonsocket for many years before retiring in 2008. She was a very athletic “All American Girl” and was an avid skier, tennis player, and sailing enthusiast. She and her husband Rene were world travelers and skied all over Europe. They enjoyed many years in the chalet that Rene built in Vermont.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her brother Albert Daigneault of Woonsocket, her sister Cecile Prior of Cumberland, her godson Mark Linton of VT, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Normand and Aime Daigneault.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave, Woonsocket. Visiting hours will be Sunday 4-6PM. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, North Smithfield.
