McCarthy, Joan M. of Marshfield, formerly of Mission Hill, September 12, 2012 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late Joseph V. McCarthy. Loving mother of Nancy K. McCarthy of Marshfield and Bruce Kevin McCarthy and his wife Andie of North Pole, Alaska. Loving grandmother of Michael Wasserman and his wife Caitlin, Christopher J. Wasserman, Shawn McCarthy and Jeremy McCarthy. Loving great grandmother of Lianna Nicole Wasserman. Dear sister of John A. Walsh Jr. and his wife Nancy of West Yarmouth, Thomas E. Walsh and his wife Diane of Dedham and William E. Walsh and his wife Maureen of Newton. Daughter of the late John A. and Agnes (O’Rourke) Walsh. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Joan was born in Boston and lived in Mission Hill before moving to Marshfield in 1994. She worked as a Broker and Appraiser for R.M. Bradley.
Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St. Rte 139, Marshfield on Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 2 to 5 p.m.
Funeral from the funeral home on Monday, September 17 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann by the Sea Church, 591 Ocean St., Marshfield at 10:00 a.m.
Interment in Couch Cemetery.
