Angelina P. (Soares) Gomes, 79, of Dartmouth died Friday May 28, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of Julio Gomes, the proprietor of J. Gomes Contracting Company.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Antone and Perpetua (Ramos) Soares, she lived in Dartmouth most of her life.
She was a member of the Portuguese-American Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she served as treasurer.
Mrs. Gomes was formerly employed as an inspector for Rodney Metals and Cornell-Dubilier Electronics Corporation many years ago.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Jacqueline R. Gomes of Dartmouth; a brother, Manuel Soares of New Bedford; two sisters, Rose Almeida of Dorchester and Louise Pires of Dartmouth; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be on Sunday May 30, 2004 from 4-8 PM and on Monday May 31, 2004 from 4-8 PM. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
