Emilio D. Macedo, age 80, of Fall River passed away September 10, 2012. He was the husband of Maria E. (Reis) Macedo. Born in Vila Povoação, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Manuel Dinis and Rose Isabel De Medeiros. Emilio worked as a boat builder for 25 years at Pearson Yacht Co. He also enjoyed fishing and was a member of Blessed Trinity Church.
Besides his wife Maria, Emilio leaves his children Joseph M. Macedo and Norbert Macedo (wife Louise) both of Fall River, and his grandchildren Crystal Haily Macedo & Brandi Summer Macedo. He was the brother of Fernando Dinis of Hollywood, FL., Norbert Medeiros of Fall River, Evangelina Motta of Ontario, Canada, and the late Antonio Costa, Rose Marie Vieira, & Cecilia Araujo. Emilio also leaves several nieces & nephews.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River THURSDAY at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in Blessed Trinity Church, 37 Winthrop St., Fall River at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery.
