Vera (Broadbent) Campbell, 93, a resident of Lawrence, MA as well as a summer resident of York Beach, ME, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Sutton Hill Nursing Center in North Andover, MA.
Born in Nova Scotia, Mrs. Campbell came to Lawrence at a young age. She was a graduate of St. Rita's Grammar School and St. Mary's High School.
Mrs. Campbell had been an employee of Lawrence Gas and Electric Companies. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by Bay Bank and Bank of New England. Mrs. Campbell had been very active with the Associates of Notre Dame as well as the St. Mary Alumni Association, especially with their Christmas Fair.
The widow of George R. Campbell who passed away in 2011, members of Mrs. Campbell's family include: her loving daughter: Elizabeth C. Campbell of Lawrence, MA, a niece: Ann Maddo of Estero, FL, a nephew: John Simon of Nashua, NH, and several grandnieces and grandnephews as well as many loving and supportive friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Patrick's Church, 118 So. Broadway, Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover, MA. Family and friends may call on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. as well as Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
