Douglas “Doug” Capps, age 69, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Capps was born on February 16, 1943 to the late Arthur Capps and Gladys Nellie Hines Capps in Princeton, NC. Mr. Capps was employed with Wal-Mart for 13 years, Meadow Gold for 21 years and he was a veteran of the US Army Reserves.
Survivors include: wife, Linda Lou Capps, Willacoochee, GA; three sons, Benji (Janet) Capps, of Willacoochee, GA, David (Regina) Capps, of Denton, GA, and Donnie (Christine) Capps, of Alma, GA; one brother: J.D. Capps, of Goldsboro, NC; one sister, Dorothy Robinson, of Winter Heaven, FL; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Cooper.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 10 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2011 at Trinity Non-Denominational Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Floyd Musgrove, Rev David Capps, and Rev. Hilton Martin officiating. Interment followed at Sunny side Church Cemetery.
