Trummie A. (T. C.) Cravey, 71, a resident of Tifton and a former resident of Plant City, Florida, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 9, 2012, at Golden Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Ronnie Vice will officiate with a private burial to be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Cravey was born in Moultrie on August 2, 1941 and was the son of Guy Cravey and Evelyn Findley Cravey, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and G. W. Cravey; and four sisters, Faithy Willis, Lucille Rayburn, Betty Holloway and Bertha Nasworthy. He owned and operated Cravey’s Cypress Hand-Crafted Lawn Furniture for over 30 years. He also served in the United States Army.
Survivors are his wife of 47 years, the former Mary Louise Branch; two sons, Duke and Wade Cravey; and one grandson, Jarrett Cravey, all of Plant City, Florida; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Katy and James Weeks of Albany and Estelle and BenEd Perry of Claxton; one sister, Opal Weeks of Tifton; one brother, Ernest Cravey of Tifton; and several nieces and nephews.
His wife and sons extend heartfelt appreciation to family who gave kind, loving care to him and assistance to his immediate family during a long illness with cancer.
The family asks if flowers are sent that it be potted plants or arrangements that may be taken to homes of the family.
