Dorothy R. “Dottie” (Ray) Bettuchi, 58, of Whitman, passed away Thursday in the New England Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of William M. Bettuchi.
Dottie was born in Boston, bought up in Quincy. She was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Dorothy L. (Healey) Ray.
She has been a Whitman resident since 1982.
Prior to her passing, she was a caring and devoted teacher for the Holy Family School in Rockland, for many years.
In addition to her husband William, she was the loving mother of Amanda and William Bettuchi, both of Whitman, grandmother to Rico Washington; also survived by her sisters, Karen Wills of Whitman, Linda Clifford of Quincy and Elizabeth Burke of Abington, loving sister-in-law to Edward and Frederick Bettuchi and Nancy Bernabeo, several nieces and nephews, loving cousin to Richard Schieder of Pembroke and Nancy Brown of Marshfield.
Her funeral services will be held on Monday September 10th at 8:15 from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.(RT58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman, MA, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman. Her visitation will be on Sunday September 9th from 2:00-6:00PM.
