Norman B. Stanikmas, Jr., 57, of Worcester died Wednesday, September, 5th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves three sons, Norman B. Stanikmas, III and his wife, Laura of Bellingham, Peter Stanikmas and Andrew Stanikmas both of Worcester; a daughter, Melissa Stanikmas and her fiancé, Matthew Greeson of Worcester; his father, Norman B. Stanikmas, Sr. of Worcester; a brother, Mark D. Stanikmas and his wife, Brenda of West Brookfield; a sister, Mary-Beth Stanikmas of Worcester; a granddaughter, Makayla Greeson; a lifelong friend, Kirk Knowlton and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, John “Jack" Stanikmas.
Norman was born in Worcester the son of Irene I. (Cassidy) Stanikmas. Mr. Stanikmas was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He owned and operated Raven Optical in Bellingham and recently worked at Briarwood Retirement Community retiring due to illness. Norman enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time outside.
Calling hours are Saturday, September 15th from 11:00 until 12:30 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
