Obituary

WAKEFIELD: Doris Elizabeth Randall, age 98, a resident of Wakefield for over 70 years died Wednesday, May 26th at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

She was born in Everett on November 29, 1905, the daughter of the late Ancel G. and Elizabeth J. (Holmes) Randall.

Miss Randall attended schools in Holderness and Laconia, NH and was graduated from Lynn English High School of Lynn, Mass. in 1923. In addition, she attended the Harvard University Extension School.

Miss Randall was a resident of Wakefield since 1933 and was an active member of the Greenwood Union Church.

She previously attended the Maple Street Methodist Church of Lynn.

Prior to her retirement in 1972, she worked for 16 years as a clerk for the Commonwealth of Mass., Department of Public Works at the administrative offices in Boston. Miss Randall previously worked for the Boston Edison Company for over 29 years.

She enjoyed flower gardening.

She is survived by many family members including; Kathleen (Randall) Yeninas, Lisa (Randall) Levandowski and Mark C. Randall all of Mountain Top, PA; Ruth Livingston of Cape Cod, Mass, Beth and Ernest Jerrett of Ipswich, Burt Hill of Ashland, NH, Connie Heath of Merrimack, NH, Mark & Diane Cave of Concord, NH, Malcolm Nicoll of Saugus and her many friends at the Greenwood Union Church in Wakefield.

Miss Randall was the sister of the late Mark E. Randall.

Calling hours Wednesday, June 2nd from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the FARMER & DEE FUNERAL HOME, 16 LEE ST., TEWKSBURY. Funeral Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home. Graveside service at 9 a.m. at Tewksbury Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 10 a.m. at the Greenwood Union Church, 4 Oak St., Wakefield, MA . At the request of Miss Randall, donations in her memory may be made to the Greenwood Union Church of Wakefield.
