Agnes L. Metzger

Agnes L. Metzger died January 25, 2011 at Manor Care after an extended illness.
Agnes was born in Noblesville, IN on December 8, 1919, the daughter of Frank and Gladys Gentry. She graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1939 and was employed by Firestone Rubber Co. in Noblesville.
She relocated to Anderson in 1941 and was employed for a brief time by the former Delco Remy Division of General Motors Corp.
She married Kenneth C. Metzger on August 20, 1943.
She belonged to the First United Methodist Church.
She was a long time member of the Edgewood Country Club.
After her husband's retirement, they wintered in Naples, FL where they had many friends.
Her pleasing personality and the desire to be helpful to everyone made her a special person to all her friends and family.
Survivors include 2 children, Linda (Ted) Hill of Kokomo and Larry Metzger and special friend Christine Graham of Anderson, brother Milo (Pat) Gentry of Middleton, MO, brother-in-law Bill Clay of Chesterfield, sister-in-law, Trudy Metzger, Libertyville, IL, 3 grandchildren, Brian (Venus) Cauble of Kokomo, Brett (Shannon) Cauble of Lafayette, Courtney (Chris) Cheever of Westfield, 4 great grandchildren: Preston Warner of Kokomo, Krystin Green of Kokomo, Carly Cauble of Lafayette, Erin Cauble of Lafayette and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth C. Metzger on May 21, 2010, six brothers, Rex, Robert, Charles, James, Paul and Cassius Gentry and two sisters, Marie Lakey and Frances Clay, her son-in-law, David Cauble and a grandson, David Hill.
Service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with burial at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday, January 28 from 3-6 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association or First United Methodist Church.
