Phyllis Robbins

Phyllis (Sheets) Robbins, age 83 passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
Phyllis was born on November 14, 1927 in Anderson, IN to William and Eva (Ashby) Sheets of Anderson. She was the eldest of 10 children and was lovingly called "Sis" by her siblings.
She worked for Indiana Bell Telephone Company for 25 years starting as an operator and retiring in 1973 as a repair clerk.
She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Community Church. She was a member of Indiana Bell Telephone Pioneers and a member of Daleville Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid reader. She loved working in the garden and loved spending time with her family. After retirement Phyllis learned to crochet and quilt and made numerous gifts for family & friends.
She will lovingly be remembered by her daughter, Vickie (Gary) Julius of Crown Point, IN, a son, Allen (Sherri) Robbins of Anderson, IN grandchildren Kristopher (Kim) Julius, Matthew (Melinda) Julius, Andrew (Rae) Julius and Donna (Michael) Quinton; great grandchildren, Kooper Julius, Katie and Joshua Kelly and soon to be born Jordyn Julius; brothers Gerald (Geraldine) Sheets, Thomas (Darlene) Sheets of Anderson, Billie Joe (Sharon) Sheets of Oklahoma; sisters, Linda (Larry) Bigham of Pendleton and Judith Sheets of Anderson. Also surviving are brothers-in-law, Robert, Rex and Larry Robbins, sisters-in-law Marjorie Slivka, Betty (Ralph) Parker, Rene Evans & Deloris (Leo) Landwerlen.
Phyllis was loved by and will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Special young ones, Ruby, Alden and John enjoyed spending time with Phyllis.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert "Bill" Robbins, her parents, William & Eva (Ashby) Sheets, brothers Robert, Harold and Larry Sheets, sister Kay Cooney, Sisters-in-law, Marie Sheets, Sharon Sheets, Wanda Ashby, Phyllis L. Robbins and Rebecca Robbins and brother-in-law Ralph Ashby.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis for their loving care of Phyllis during her last few weeks. Also special thanks go to wonderful neighbors, Kim & Eric Gotwals and their children, Elizabeth & Ethan; John & Hope Newby and Special friend Chet Jackson.
Service will be on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Rozelle -Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. John Albright of Mt. Pleasant Community Church officiating. Friends may call on Sunday, February 6, from 2-6 P.M. with an Eastern Star service at 5:30 PM at the funeral home
Cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be given to Mt. Pleasant Community Church.
