Grace D. "Tommy" (Remington) Hart, 91 of Anderson died February 28, 2011 with her family present.
She was born June 1, 1919 in Madison County to Eugene "Gene" Remington and Minnie (Palmer) Remington Keener.
She was a homemaker and member of Bethany Christian Church. She volunteered for Contact Help, raised Yorkshire Terrier puppies and had Hart's Kennel for 60 years. She owned Hart's Shoe Store. She liked to swim and fish and she especially loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by her 7 children, Frank E. Hart of Anderson, Howard "Ed" (Lora) Hart, Jr. of Fishers, William "Will" (Vickie) Hart of Frankton, Minnie R. (Ricky) Graham of Chesterfield, Tom (Patricia) Hart of Anderson, Nick D. (Cindy) Hart of Anderson and Candy (Rudy) Ballard of Daleville, 16 grandchildren: David (Patty) Hart; Todd (Tammy) Hart, Troy (Michelle) Hart; Ryan (Shelly) Smethers; Randy (Melea) Hart; Jennifer (Kevin) Brown, David (Lee) Swafford; Bryan (Kelsey) Swafford; Amy (Steve) Hess; Honesty (Cory) Maryan; Christopher Hart; Tiffany Hart, Abby Hart, Daniel (Summer) Ballard; DaNae (Ryan) Spangler; 23 great grandchildren: Meghan Hart, Amanda Hart, Taylor Hart, Tristen Hart; Ariel Hart, Kyle Hart, Marissa Hart, Hannah McDaniel; Haley Hart, Blake Hart, Faith Brown, Bo Brown; Boston Brown, Tyler Swafford; Skyler Swafford; Hunter Hess; Ashley Hess; Alexis Hart; Grace Ballard; Claire Ballard; MaKenna Spangler and Myla Spangler; a 1 great great grandson: Braylon Boone.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband Howard E. Hart Sr. died in 2005 after 65 years of marriage; son Larry Hart, brother Alonzo Remington
Service will be at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Bob Bell officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service.
Cremation will take place with the burial of cremated remains at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bethany Christian Church.
