Roy Edward Money, age 63 of Anderson, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at his residence following a 1 month illness.
Roy was born in Harlan, Kentucky on June 27, 1947 to Thomas W. & Clara Jean (Riddle) Money.
He worked production at Home Design Products for 4 years. He received an injury retirement from the US Air Force after 4 years in Vietnam.
He loved to drive trucks which he did for many years. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, he was a coin and gun collector and enjoyed the Waffle House.
He is survived by his 4 children Nettie Perez of Anderson, Natalie Money of Anderson, Nellie Money of Anderson and Nathan Money of Alexandria, a lifelong friend, Donna Money-Whinery of Alexandria, his sister: Lois Money, his sister-in-law Bev Money of Ohio, 7 grandchildren: Christian Lopez, Silvano Trinidad, Saya Trinidad, Chaston Money, Annah Money, Clara Breece, Malachi Money; several nieces & nephews, several aunts & uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Robert Money.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 7, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Mike Whiteman officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery with military graveside rites by VFW Post 266. Friends may call from Monday, from 1-2 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be given to Community VNA Hospice.
