Virgil Glenn Robold

Virgil Glenn Robold, 91 of Anderson died March 10, 2011 at St. John's Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born, August 30, 1919 in Bedford, Indiana to Rev. Lemmon F. and Emily L. (Allen) Robold.
Virgil was a graduate of Bicknell High School in 1938.
He served from 1939-1959 in the US Army as a Chief Warrant Officer during WW II in Germany also in Japan and Korea during the Korean War.
He was active at Park Place Church of God as a greeter and usher.
He is survived by his 2 children: Edward L. Robold of Grove City, OH; Patsy N. Bivins of Sturgis, KY; 2 grandchildren Cynthia Wonders, Lorrie Hoagland; 3 brothers: O. Lee Robold of Minnesota, Earl H. Robold of Arizona and Forrest A. Robold of Virginia several nieces and nephews including niece Melanie (Bill) Lashbrook of Anderson, several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Alice Ilene (Hensley) Robold died February 13, 2005, 2 sisters: Vinnie & Vernie Davis; 6 brothers: Russell, Orcel, Clyde, Claude, Warren & Willard Robold.
Funeral service will be Monday, March 14, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at Park Place Church of God with Pastor Don Collins officiating. Burial will be in Hawk Cemetery in Yorktown.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service and Monday, from 9:30 AM until the service at the church.
