Elsie Marie (Roemer) Clark, age 87 formerly of Anderson died in Portage, MI at her son's residence after a brief illness.
Elsie was born in Lucerne, Indiana on February 16, 1924 to Carl Joseph and Mary Magadelena (Brenkle) Roemer.
She lived in Lucerne, IN on a farm until becoming a resident of Anderson where she lived most of her life until moving to Michigan December 4, 2010.
She loved to garden, canned all her own vegetables and loved to cook.
Elsie worked at Flowers by Mary Jane for 45 years before retiring in 1994.
She is survived by her 2 children: Roger (Patricia) Clark of Portage, MI; Diane (Charles) Mosbrucker of Indianapolis, 1 sister Elizabeth Johnston of Greensburg, 4 grandchildren Jennifer (Derek) Diget of Kalamazoo, MI; Jamie (Amy) Clark, Julie (Jeff) Tucker and Jeanne (Jarrett) Neff all of Portage, MI; 8 great grandchildren Ashley, Samantha, Patrick, David, Austin, Shaylie, Damien and Memphis, several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale Thomas Clark died July 17, 1962, son Thomas Joseph Clark died in 1979, 6 brothers & sisters.
Private family services took place, officiated by Rev. Robert Williams of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial was in East Maplewood Cemetery.
