Betty Jean (Keicher) Smith, 79, of Anderson died on March 23, 2011 at Manor Care Nursing Home.
Betty was born on August 7, 1932 in Anderson, daughter of John and Jarnett (Alder) Keicher
She was employed by Delco Remy Division of General Motors for 29 years, retiring in 1995
She attended Elm Grove Christian Church. She enjoyed Colts football, Bingo, animals, shopping and going to church.
She is survived by her sister Diana (William) Scofield, of Anderson, 2 nephews, Jim Scofield and David (Karen) Scofield, 4 great nephews, Aaron, Noah, Zachary and Jacob.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. "Jimmie" Smith
Funeral service will be on Monday, March 28 at 4:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Whiteman officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Cremation will follow with the burial of cremated in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Humane Society or American Cancer Society.
