Ruth E. (Sparrow) Hoefft
October 4, 1915 to April 5, 2011

Ruth E. (Sparrow) Hoefft, age 95 of Middletown, IN died at Miller's Merry Manor in Middletown on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 following an extended illness.

Ruth was born October 4, 1915 in Huntington, IN to Adelbert and Bertha (Moorman) Sparrow.

She attended Maple Grove Church of God in Anderson.

She worked for Aladdin Industries in Alexandria from 1935 to 1946, UK Pottery in 1960's, Three Sisters Clothing Store,

She worked at Weiler's Department Store both downtown Anderson and when they moved to Mounds Mall locations as a retail clerk in the women's wear department and enjoyed modeling women's fashions.

She was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She delighted in attending to her flower lawn and garden. She was a member of the A.B.W.A. (American Business Women's Association)

She was survived by her son, John W. (Pam) Cooper, Jr. of Middletown; grandchildren Susan Lorraine (Doug) Walter, Jennifer Lynn (Jeremy) Kauffman, John W. (Darcy) Cooper III, Nancy Ruth Shinstock, Mary Elizabeth McKinnon, Barbara Ann Locke, Joseph Norwood Weeks, Pamela Sue Carlson, great grandchildren: Katelyn Jo Cooper, Karlyn Molly Cooper, Eleanor Jane Kauffman, Kristen Melchior, Erin Melchior, Tony Carlson, Steve Carlson, Sherry Brakefield, Karl Brakefield, Stacy Brakefield, Stephanie McKinnon, Christina McKinnon, Jeremy Locke, Joey N. Weeks, Jr., 2 nieces: Virginia Ann Sumwalt and Patricia Boxell.

She was preceded by her daughters, Beverly Ann Paschal-Perkins and Alma Jane Weeks, husbands Clarence A. Hoefft, Coleman J. Kennedy and John W. Cooper, her brother, Clarence E. Sparrow, her sisters: Claresia Ellen Meyers, Emma Jane Spurgeon and her granddaughter, Jackie Marie Weeks.

Service will be on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Daniel Kihm of Maple Grove Church of God officiating.

Friends may call from 3-7 P.M. on Thursday, April 7, at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to LOGOS Children's Program at Maple Grove Church of God.
