Jerry Lee Reeves
October 14, 1942 - April 21, 2011
Jerry Lee Reeves, 68 of Anderson, went to be with our heavenly father at St. John's Health System after a brief illness on April 21, 2011.
Jerry graduated from Daleville High School. He was a special person who volunteered his singing voice to the enjoyment of the residents at local nursing homes.
He retired from Delco Remy after 33 years.
He attended Gethsemane Four Square Gospel Church. He was a member of Piston Popper Car Club, a lifetime member of N.R.A. and a long time member of National Hot Rod Association.
He is survived by the love of his life Linda (Hughes) Reeves whom he was married to for 51 years, sons Jeffrey L. (Elizabeth) Reeves of Huntington, Wesley L. (Vonda) Reeves of Muncie, IN; four grandchildren: Christy A. (Nick) Minnis of Decatur, IL, Misty A. Reeves of Noblesville, IN; Dustin L. Reeves and Ashley Reeves of Huntington, IN, step-great granddaughter Morgan Minnis, his sisters and brothers Bob (Bonnie) Reeves, Anita (Bill) Clore, Jack (Mona) Reeves, Betty Murfin, Linda Evans, Joe (Sharon) Reeves and Diana (Bob) Graves, sisters-in-law: Carol Sheets and Sandra (Charlie) Netherton, several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents Roy A. & Mary (Corn) Reeves, sisters Donna Reeves and Ruth Anne Cook, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sterling & Grace Hughes and his sister-in-law Judith Martin.
Going home celebration will be on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 5:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Robert Henderson of Gethsemane Four Square Gospel Church officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 3-5 P.M. before the celebration.
Cremation was selected with a private graveside service at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society.
